Today feels like the start of something new.
The new year, but also a fresh start of my own.
It’s 10:28 am. I’m at home, on call for work.
I decided to write because it feels like a better way to express myself than the current social media platforms. They’ve become too generic, stripped of meaning, endless reels encouraging people to doomscroll rather than reflect. Something about that feels hollow.
Outside, the sky is overcast.
It’s unusually cold for summer in Sydney – especially for the beginning of 2026. The kind of weather that makes the day feel paused, as if it’s waiting.
So, I’m writing.
